šŸ˜žThis was once me, I weighed myself everyday often disheartened at the number showing on the screen not moving. A personal trainer showed me the scales don’t need to rule my day!

šŸ˜€Now as A PERSONAL TRAINER I’m aware where once I weighed 50kg age 20 I’m now about 58kg age 51 (according to the doctors scales) as I don't own a set of scales now.

ā€¼ļøBUT I still wear ‪the same size‬ clothing. So although I’m almost 10kg heavier, I am fitter, stronger & healthier than in my 20’s. I also carry more muscle.

āš–ļø The scales do not tell the whole story. I know now when I’ve pushed the portion sizes up, had too much to drink or eaten sweet treats (Christmas time), by the feel of my clothes.

šŸ˜žI don’t get the same level of despair. So if you weigh yourself, ask yourself do you really need to know about 100g or is there another way.

āš–ļøThe scales can also show variations based on time of day as proven in research where they weighed a person throughout the day and was up & down!

āœ…Here’s an article with more on this topic https://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/well-good/77014835/

āš–ļøIf you think you’ll struggle to ditch the scales then get a family member to hide them. Or see if you can stay off them for January.

āœ”ļøThen FOCUS ON YOUR HEALTH NOT A NUMBER. Look at improving your food choices to

āœ”ļømore Green

āœ”ļømore fresh

āœ”ļømore water

āœ”ļømore vegetables grown above ground

āœ”ļømore herbs & spices not sauces

āœ”ļømore protein ...not processed

ā™„ļøEnjoy what’s in your green grocer & butcher not what’s in the middle of the supermarket!
