TRACEY TORDOFF – OWNER + INSTRUCTOR

With over 17 years in the fitness industry, I’ve loved spending years helping people move well, feel great, and enjoy life to the fullest.

 

From running my own studio gym to teaching Reformer Pilates, Personal Training, Bootcamps, and delivering Nutrition and Online courses—I bring a broad base of experience to support your fitness and wellness goals.

​

Since qualifying in 2008, I’ve continued to grow through fitness conferences and ongoing education, staying up to date with the latest in health, movement, and coaching.

 

Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or looking to become an instructor yourself, I’m here to guide and support you.

 

This is more than just a job to me—it’s something I truly love.  My mission is simple: to stay fit, healthy, and help others do the same to enhance every aspect of life.

who am I?

​

My name is Tracey Tordoff, I was born in Morrinsville before moving away & now I'm back - I am 56 years young! 

 

I currently RUN most days up to 6-9 km & MTbike or walk (plus labrador Forrest) too. 

 

I workout in the gym along with undertake reformer pilates myself each week planning new programs for current clients.  

what events have I done?

​

I have completed the:

  • Christchurch Marathon 42km

  • Run 21km multiple times for fun

  • Hanmer Springs + Whangamata 10km

  • 100km Grape bike ride in Blenheim

  • 35km Longbeach Bike Challenge

  • Otago Rail Trail & Hawkes Bay Trails

  • I also waterski as much as I can & judge

ANICA DOWNING - INSTRUCTOR

It's been exciting to join the Torque team dive into teaching!  I’ve recently expanded my skills with a pre-pregnancy and postnatal reformer course. 

 

Growing up on a farm, I’ve embraced a healthy lifestyle fueled by my love for animals, the outdoors, and fitness.

 

My journey into fitness began with lifting weights at the gym, but once I discovered Pilates, I was hooked!

 

After completing my training in July 2024, I’ve been developing dynamic plans for my classes at every opportunity. I thrive on challenging my body in new ways that weights alone can’t provide, constantly discovering how to push my limits.

 

I’m eager to share my passion for working out with you and you achieve your fitness goals.  As a current student at the University of Canterbury, I always look forward to returning to Torque Fitness during my breaks.

LACHE MANE - INSTRUCTOR

I am thrilled to be part of the Torque Fitness family!

 

After relocating from Christchurch four years ago, I am proud to call the stunning Waikato my second home. Health and fitness have been a significant part of my life from a young age, with a diverse background in sports and dance, particularly in competitive Aerobics.

 

I was involved for years, representing New Zealand at the world championships in Prague in 2003 and in in 2011. During that time, I also coached and choreographed routines for a dedicated squad of athletes aged 10 to 18, finding great joy in giving back to the sport that has shaped my life.

 

Discovering Reformer Pilates was a turning point for me, igniting a newfound passion. It is an absolute honor to share our love for Reformer Pilates here at Torque Fitness, and as an instructor,

 

I look forward to supporting you on your fitness journey, which truly is most rewarding aspect of my role.

BROOKE CARTER- INSTRUCTOR

​

I first discovered Reformer Pilates through rehabilitation and now use it to build strength and balance. As a former athlete, I have rowed at the national and international level and I bring this athletic experience into crafting my sessions. When I'm not at the studio, you’ll find me at the University of Waikato studying Law and Business.

TRESA SMYTHE – INSTRUCTOR (currently on maternity leave)

I'm a Health & Safety Advisor at Fonterra with a lifelong passion for wellness, movement, and more recently, rehabilitation.

​

After completing a Bachelor of Physical Education in 2012, I became a certified Personal Trainer and Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor. Over the past decade, my journey has taken me from working at a wellness camp in Florida, USA, to upskilling in group fitness, and eventually finding a better work-life balance in the dairy industry.

​

From December 2023 to March 2024, I trained to become a Reformer Pilates instructor at Torque Fitness—and I absolutely love it! Reformer Pilates is for everyone, regardless of age, injury, or experience level.

 

It’s an empowering, accessible form of movement that truly supports whole-body wellness.
