WHAT'S INVOLVED IN SEEING A PERSONAL TRAINER? All you need to do is turn up with a willingness to try.   I've worked with all ages and levels of fitness and as your Personal Trainer I will set up the machines, move the weights, show you every exercise, support and encourage you.  Not all the exercises you may perform will involve weights, but a variety of movements to keep each session interesting.

HOW DO I MAKE BOOKINGS? Please read through the information contained on this page before sending me an email so we can find a time to suit you. The CONSULTATION IS FREE! Soi you can see if what I do works for you! Or you may wish to combine a Reformer Pilates session too!

CAN I SEE A PERSONAL TRAINER IF I HAVE AN INJURY? This depends on what injury you have and stage of rehabilitation. Generally you want to seek medical advice and clearance before exercising. This is when the FREE CONSULTATION is important as I can then assess if you will be ready and provide adaptations to exercises if required.  Please bring any notes or information relating to the injury to the consultation.

DO YOU ASSIST WITH NUTRITION? I have studied Nutrition over 14 years and it is something I am passionate about & I’m willing to discuss this with you.  I have helped many clients with weight loss, but also improving their health through food & hydration choices also taking into account stress, sleep, hormones, genetics, exercise. I am not a registered Dietician or Registered Nutritionalist.

WHAT IS THE FREE CONSULTATION? This is a FREE no obligation consultation for you to come and see if this is the best option for you and your wellbeing taking around 35-40 minutes. When this is booked you will be asked to fill in online a Personal Training Wellness form. If you have any questions contact me via email or phone so I can help. There are NO contracts or financial commitments.

HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I BE DOING A WEEK? This depends on your fitness goals, what fitness level you are, how fast your body adapts and recovers. I recommend attending no more than 1-2 sessions a week, to get the best results, however you may eventually add in a Reformer Pilates Class also.

WILL IT JUST BE ME? At my studio you are the centre of attention, there is no one else in the studio.  It is in a private setting with 1:1 attention given to you and all equipment was purchased new.  Privacy & Confidentiality are core components of my business.  However you may choose to workout with a friend or join the BOOTCAMP OPTION (maximum 4)

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR & BRING? Come to the studio wearing comfortable clothing that you can freely workout in. Compulsory items to bring with you for hygiene reasons: a sweat towel, water and some clean (not muddy or grassy) sneaker type shoes. Please also don't come on an empty stomach, blood sugars drop too fast and you quickly start to feel faint! We have all the other equipment you might need in studio, including a bathroom

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS? I am open Monday – Thursday from 6am - 7pm .I am currently closed on a Friday.  Yet to be confirmed - the studio will close at Christmas time for a period to enable a recharge by all.

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE? My session charge is starts at $75 for 55 minutes, which reduces depending on the package you purchase down to $60 OR Two friends are welcome to train together and this cost is $85 per session for two clients or $42.50 each OR I do offer a 25 minute session at $45, which also reduces based on the package you purchase.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? I have a 12 hour cancellation policy.  If you can’t make a class, it is your responsibility to cancel 12hrs prior to your class. If you late cancel inside the 12hrs or no show you will be charged for this class. But long as you cancel prior to 12 hours your session will be automatically credited onto your account.  I will credit classes if you explain you were unwell, this is only for clients not family members. Please take note of the purchase expiry note below. With all packages there are expiry dates and unused sessions will expire. Most packages have an extra week/s built in for this reason. I apologise but we need to be strict and fair to all clients (and ourselves) to run a viable business. If sick (covid or unwell), you are best to stay home or injured, please message me, for a credit.

HOW DO I CANCEL A SESSION?  Go online to the booking system, as this will then release the session back into general use. Or if early morning please send me a text using the number at the bottom of the page first.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY PACKAGE? If you find #torque PERSONAL TRAINING isn’t for you, simply send a cancellation request to torquefitnessnz@gmail.com before your next payment is due.

I'M PREGNANT CAN I STILL ATTEND SESSIONS? You sure can.  I have worked with Midwives in the past during clients pregnancy and postnatal if returning soon after birth.  This is to keep you supported and safe as the body changes.  It is important to remain active during pregnancy.

WHEN CAN I GET BACK INTO SESSIONS POST BABY? I ask that you wait until at least 6 weeks after you have given birth.  If you want to come back earlier, I request clearance from your medical practitioner.  If you birthed via C-section a 12 week wait is required.   I trained to work alongside Physiotherapists and Obstetricians if there are any post-natal issues.

PRE/POST NATAL - CAN I BRING MY BABY?  Yes you can.  I've had some clients bring their babies who've grown into teenagers over the years they have been seeing me.

Fancy a team bonding experience that covers exercise too?   I can cater to all corporate groups and levels of fitness.  Email me to discuss my corporate rates.
