đđŒââïžARE YOU OK? Here we are again LOCKDOWNâŠI miss being at work & seeing all the happy faces as my role as a Personal Trainer is a very positive one! I hope that this is short & sharp & we can get back to our normal lives but for some please consider it means:
đ„șanxiety heightened
đ„șloneliness
đ„șworry about finances
đ„șmissing family
đ„șfear of the virus
đ„șdelays to medical procedures
đWhilst for others itâs a break from busy lives, a chance to clean, sort out, garden, relax, spend time with kids
đ„șIf you're in the group appreciating the time out please consider friends or family who maybe struggling.
đđ»Take time out of your day to get in touch. A chat over the phone could mean the difference between struggling with lockdown and knowing someone cares.
âïžTry to also get some Vitamin D from the sunshine we are experiencing in Canterbury. Itâs great for the immune system, mental health, bones & muscles. We donât always get enough when we work in offices or malls.
đłVitamin D can be supplemented but itâs available from the sun or limited foods such as eggs, liver and oily fish, some dairy products have it added & mushrooms.
đAlso note there is no need to be productive every day. Some days we need to rest. As much as Iâm all about exercise we also need to be mindful that recovery for the mind & body is important.
đTake time out, enjoy a sleep in, watch some Netflix or enjoy a book or magazine, try to stay off social media or the news for a period of time.
đââïžHowever for me exercise helps me clear my head & I am lucky to live near a place I can run literally for miles with Jen (the Labrador)during lockdown I get more time to do a longer run & enjoy the vitamin D, beautiful scenery & fresh air!
đAppreciate what is outside & that we can still get outside. In every negative there is a positive you may just need more thought to find it!
đ„șI read this recently & thought Iâd share it at this timeâŠâSo friends, we are not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different. We are all on different ships during this storm experiencing a different journey. Realise that & donât criticise others for their coping mechanism. Instead support them!â
đTake care of yourselves & if you need to reach out to me, then please do as I will always pick up or reply x Tracey đ
